Blockmarket Web

Blockmarket Web development has been cut back due to higher priority tasks in our code team; we are however making good progress, albeit gradual. We are currently adding IPFS for photo/video storage and we're in the design process of  the web wallet. Frontend UI can be tested by interested parties upon request. We are also looking for test data from other e-commerce platforms to create import filters.

Payment Channels / Lightning for Syscoin Platform Tokens

When UTXO-based SPTs are done it will greatly simplify the implementation of SPT payment channels on top of the Syscoin base protocol, allowing us to leverage the high block capacity and fee savings provided by Z-DAG on Syscoin’s base layer to scale SPT Lightning payments to everyone, everywhere — a feat achievable not even by Bitcoin.

Spark Mobile

Our flagship mobile wallet that supports Syscoin, SPTs, ETH, and ERC20s. Will eventually be extended with Syscoin Bridge functionality and Z-DAG.

Update: We are updating the backend to use Blockbook for a faster user experience. Also known as "Spark Mobile" the Syscoin Mobile wallet will support all of your ERC20 tokens.

Web3 For Syscoin Platform

Web3 is a collection of libraries which will allow you to interact with a local or remote Syscoin Node, by using either an HTTP or IPC connection. This will enable developers to stand up DAPPS with ease on the Syscoin Network.

UTXO-based SPTs

We are moving Syscoin Platform Tokens (SPT) to a UTXO-based consensus system. This will bring Syscoin Platform directly in sync with bitcoin core logic, and yield many benefits; further information can be found here.

Bridging to other Blockchains

We are researching which other blockchains would benefit from Syscoin Bridge. These bridges will likely involve ZK-SNARK’s or some other generalized proof-of-chain solution. Some cursory research is underway.

Syscoin Electrum

We are building a custom Electrum wallet to support Syscoin Platform Tokens (SPT's). This will enable you to hold all your SPT's on Ledger, Trezor or on desktop and mobile in an industry standard format. This will also allow institutional investors to integrate Syscoin into their existing investment portfolio infrastructure.

New Explorers

Our current official blockchain explorer found at http://explorer.blockchainfoundry.co/ will be deprecated to use the new Blockbook backend and Trezor Explorer front end for more accurate and faster user experience. The new site and explorercan be found at https://sys1.bcfn.ca/ - ALSO there is a new Ethereum Explorer https://eth1.bcfn.ca/

Fast Gitian

Gitian is a secure source-control oriented software distribution method. This means you can download trusted binaries that are verified by multiple builders. Bitcoin’s gitian build process creates determinstic, signed binary builds for Windows, Linux, and Mac. The process takes several hours on a standard laptop. Fast-gitian greatly increases the speed of bitcoin’s gitian build process by leveraging parallel builds and cloud machines for build times under 45min.

Blockbook

The new Blockbook backend will drastically speed up thin wallets, hardware wallets, blockchain explorers and will be the basis for a new more efficient and higher speed API which should be easier for developers to use. This requires not only building the new backend and api, but integrating into all these applications.
