Syscoin Ecosystem Update: July 31, 2025
It’s been a while—but Syscoin Updates are back!
Our community has been asking for a clear, consistent pulse on everything happening across Syscoin and the wider SYS Labs ecosystem, and we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes delivering meaningful progress. Previously, these updates were released weekly, but with the ecosystem maturing and news often coming in cycles, we’re moving to a bi‑weekly format—giving you a richer look at what’s happening every two weeks.
The past month has been full of major milestones:
- Our first Bitcoin+ workshop in Lima, Peru
- And the upcoming zkSYS Edgechain, setting the stage for Syscoin’s modular future
- Lunos progressing through Mantle’s COOK 3 Hackathon
- SuperDapp shipping a major patch and preparing AI Agents
- Pali Wallet is being overhauled, reaching a new level of security and UX polish
Let’s dive into everything the team has been building!
Highlights
First In‑Person Bitcoin+ Workshop – Lima, Peru
Syscoin hosted its first-ever in‑person Bitcoin+ workshop at Club del Bitcoin in Lima, Peru, led by Fernando, a.k.a. “Dev El Cuy”.
- 25 attendees participated in the two-hour session.
- Topics included Bitcoin fundamentals, Layer 1 vs. Layer 2 scaling, and Syscoin’s modular approach to scaling without compromises.
- Slides like “Escalando sin Concesiones” showcased how Syscoin respects Bitcoin’s foundation while enabling Web3 features like DeFi, NFTs, and sovereign appchains.

Kudos to the 25 attendees who joined us for more than two hours at our first in-person workshop at @bitcoin_club_pe to learn about Bitcoin from scratch and to explore Syscoin’s unique vision for scaling without trade-offs! https://t.co/TLAcvYM0KN pic.twitter.com/XQm0OfeZFb
Ecosystem Updates
zkSYS – The First Edgechain is Coming
As Syscoin’s flagship Edgechain, zkSYS represents the model for all future sovereign appchains in ecosystem. It’s a zk‑rollup deployed on Syscoin as an L2, designed to demonstrate what’s possible when you combine Bitcoin‑anchored security with modular Web3 scalability.
The team has been hard at work refining zkSYS to ensure it not only launches strong but is fully compatible with appchains from day one—a core part of our long‑term vision. While zkSYS initially hit testnet, we chose to delay its public release to integrate this improvement.
Key highlights:
Enhanced Compatibility – zkSYS is being configured for zksync and appchain compatibility, making it possible for developers to use Syscoin NEVM as the settlement layer, rather than Ethereum.
Bitcoin Data Availability (DA) – Integration of the Bitcoin DA client ensures robust modular scaling with Bitcoin’s security as the foundation.
Public Testnet Coming Soon – Version 28 will be released as a public testnet in mid‑August, providing early visibility and community access.
Dual Deployment Strategy – While the V28 public testnet goes live, the team is developing V29 in parallel to prepare for mainnet readiness.
zkSYS is the template for future Edgechains—a proving ground where builders can explore what’s possible in a Bitcoin‑powered modular ecosystem.
SysHub
- Core functionality complete and the app is now in QA testing, moving toward public release as the central hub for the Syscoin ecosystem.
Syscoin Developer & Infrastructure Updates
- Hosted the first in‑person Bitcoin+ Workshop in Lima (25 attendees).
- Luxy migration to new server infrastructure.
- Rollux Testnet upgrades:
- Explorer upgrade and sequencer fixes.
- Started work on peering node for RPC scalability.
- Sentrynode Community Bot: Improved, tested, and deployed.
- Legacy Bridge: Work resumed on the Syscoin 5 upgrade with SPTs and Pali integration.
- Began Pali Test DApp development
Lunos (formerly Uno Re)
- Advanced through all three phases of Mantle’s COOK 3 Hackathon, delivering the final phase on July 25.
- Continued development of the demo first showcased at EigenLayer’s Hacker House, now moving toward a production‑ready version.
- Fixed several pool interaction bugs for a smoother user experience.
- Partnered with Vibranium Audits to secure the upcoming Security Hub.
SuperDapp
- Major patch shipped, including:
- Fixes for chat syncing, missing history, notifications, and CPU spikes.
- Improved Super Group features and investment interaction UI.
- Homepage ad banner space for promoted Super Groups.
SuperDapp has officially launched its first third-party AI Agent, powered by ChainGPT. ChainGPT is a Layer 1 blockchain built exclusively for AI that already has nearly a million users. This integration delivers real-time crypto intelligence directly into Super Groups, transforming passive Telegram-style chats into active, AI-enhanced hubs.
This marks a major step forward in our mission to give Web3 leaders modular tools to grow, automate, and govern their communities.
Why it matters:
- Built in-house using ChainGPT’s grant-backed infrastructure,
- Proves anyone can deploy Agents to power smarter communities,
- Designed for Telegram migrants, creators, and crypto-native builders
SuperDapp now enters Phase 2: the AI layer. Soon, anyone will be able to launch Agents for:
- On-chain tooling,
- Gaming mechanics,
- Alpha and intel feeds,
- Livestream scheduling,
- Automated moderation,
- Lore systems and more
Every Agent deployed adds utility to the $SUPR ecosystem, unlocking new access layers and demand for native features.
One Agent is live. Thousands more will follow.

Luxy
- Continuing a large‑scale server infrastructure migration.
- Focused on boosting cost efficiency and ensuring a seamless experience for NFT creators and collectors.
Pali Wallet
The team has been hard at work on the major Pali update to make it competitive with the best of the industry’s web and browser self-custody wallets. Lead Core Developer Jagdeep Sidhu, also a member of the Syscoin Foundation, shared an inside look at what he’s been working on:
“I’ve been obsessively working on @PaliWallet to match or exceed @MetaMask in quality, while natively supporting both UTXO and EVM networks. There are few open-source wallets that fully support UTXO chains, EVM DApps, and hardware wallets—all in one extension. Ours will.”
Key highlights from Jag’s progress:
- Native Bitcoin & UTXO DApp Support – Abstracted calls for a familiar Web3 experience while retaining Bitcoin resilience (BIP84, change addresses, etc.).
- Automatic RPC Discovery & Scoring – Finds and rates open-source RPC endpoints with latency checks and quality scoring.
- Full Hardware Wallet Support – Works seamlessly with Syscoin SPTs, ERC‑20/721/1155 tokens, and native DApps.
- Advanced Security & Privacy – Encrypted key storage, XPUB/BIP32/BIP84 support, and ephemeral signer object handling for safer operations.
- Custom DApp Flows – Supports complex cross-network interactions (UTXO ↔ EVM) with smooth UX.
- Performance & Speed – Optimized extension loading (<1 second) and lightweight signing flows for a better user experience.
- Open Source & Community Driven – Public on GitHub, with bug bounties and UX feedback encouraged.
“I want this to be the best quality experience for an open-source wallet that fully supports Bitcoin, UTXO chains, and EVM networks. Everything was built with security, speed, and UX in mind.” – Jagdeep Sidhu
This next evolution of Pali Wallet will unlock truly native Bitcoin DApp flows, leveraging Syscoin’s dual UTXO/EVM architecture and broadening support for other UTXO-based networks.
