Z-DAG White Paper: Syscoin’s Blockchain Scalability Solution
Z-DAG (Zero Confirmation Directed Acyclic Graph) was developed by Syscoincore developer and CTO of Blockchain Foundry Inc., Jag Sidhu, as a scalability solution for assets and tokens on Syscoin Platform.
Today we proudly present the Z-DAG white paper, which describes in precise detail the technology behind this groundbreaking innovation.
Z- DAG acts as an integral secondary consensus layer of Syscoin’s Proof-of-Work (PoW) protocol, which is further strengthened via merge-mining with bitcoin. By using Z-DAG and PoW simultaneously Syscoin’s unique approach to achieving high transaction speeds is both robust and efficient, and makes Syscoin Platform the fastest and most scalable decentralised asset platform in the world.
Having completed internal testing of Z-DAG in 2018, the Syscoin developers saw evidence that suggested Syscoin 4.0 would be able to deliver a very high transactions-per-second rate for Syscoin Platform Tokens (SPT), in comparison to existing blockchain platforms. The theoretical numbers were so good that they decided to seek verification from Whiteblock, a well-respected and independent blockchain testing company.
Following successful testing results, Whiteblock has now completed their report, and we are delighted to let you know that we will be publishing the TPS results on Wednesday May 22nd!
